River Edge Behavioral Health: New Board Member

MACON – Brent DuBois, clinical nurse anesthetist and current Twiggs county commissioner, has been appointed to represent Twiggs county on the governing board of River Edge Behavioral Health. DuBois is a central Georgia native who brings community health, military and business experience to strengthen the Board.   

 

DuBois earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Middle Georgia State University and the Medical College of Georgia. He served 11 years in the Army Nurse Corps and earned his Master of Science in Anesthesia from the University of Texas. 

 

While stationed at Fort Bragg, DuBois served as Chief Nursing Anesthetist for a surgical team that deployed to Iraq. During deployment, DuBois received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and worked as the liaison for NATO. 

 

Since leaving his military career to be more involved in the lives of his three sons, DuBois has worked for The Medical Center at Navicent Health and started his own anesthesia business. His business services communities in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee and Michigan. DuBois has also invested in various urgent care clinics in cities across Georgia including Cochran, Eastman, Milledgeville and Albany.
