TenderCare Clinic Opens New Location at River Edge Baldwin

A ribbon cutting for TenderCare’s newest Milledgeville location is scheduled for Monday, October 5 at 11:30 a.m. at River Edge Baldwin located at 60 Blandy Way.  Georgia House representatives Rusty Kidd and Butch Parrish will attend the event.

TenderCare Clinic, which has offices in Greensboro and Milledgeville, opened a new location at River Edge Baldwin beginning in late August.  The clinic offers primary care services to clients of River Edge.

The partnership between TenderCare and River Edge allows one of the most vulnerable and chronically ill segments of the population to receive proper primary healthcare by removing barriers such as transportation, cost and logistics.  The copays through this partnership will be much lower and the on-site pharmacy will better ensure that clients fill their prescriptions since they won’t have to go to yet another location.

River Edge CEO Shannon Terrell Harvey said, “We are delighted that a dream and partnership of years has brought a new resource to reality.  We look forward to improving the health outcomes of people with behavioral health challenges.  Research says that people with mental illness die 25 years younger than the general population. That is too many lives to lose too soon. Together, we can truly make life better.”

TenderCare CEO Lisa Brown stated, “We are so excited to offer medical care to the clients of River Edge through this state-of-the art partnership. We are so appreciative of the legislative entities that helped this dream come to fruition and we look forward to expanding these services in the near future.”

Initially clinics will be held each Wednesday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. until expanded hours are needed.
