River Edge to Hold Christmas Gala for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

MACON – River Edge Behavioral Health Center Developmental Disabilities Services will hold a Christmas Gala this week for the individuals River Edge supports, along with their families and staff. The event will include entertainment from the Central High School Fine Arts Program and a visit from Santa Claus and his elves. The Gala will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the gym of Lundy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2081 Forest Hill Road.
 
“This is going to be a wonderful event for the individuals we support to enjoy the holiday,” said Greta O’Dell, director of Developmental Disabilities Services at River Edge. “We’ll have students from Central taking pictures of our clients with Santa and the Central Fine Arts Program will be doing songs of the season. We’re looking forward to an amazing celebration!”
 
More than 250 guests, including more than 100 individuals River Edge’s supports in both the Options day programs and residential programs, will be on hand for the event.
