Milledgeville, Georgia —River Edge Behavioral Health Center – Baldwin County will host a ribbon-cutting and open house celebration on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. River Edge will unveil Georgia’s first 24/7 outpatient crisis service center, the youth mental health clubhouse for Georgia’s Region 2, a new pharmacy, and renovations to the Blandy Park site during the celebration. The celebration will take place at the River Edge offices located in the Blandy Way Office Park, 60 Georgia Hwy 22 West, Milledgeville, Georgia 31061.

 

River Edge Behavioral Health Center has provided services in Baldwin, Putnam and Wilkinson counties since 2006. Since arrival in these communities, River Edge has grown to:

·         employ more than 40 and serve more than 3,000 clients annually at Blandy Way.

·         support the Oconee Regional Medical Center Emergency Department to reduce their load

·         open permanent supportive housing services in 22 brand new one bedroom units in partnership with local developers.  

·         secure $1M+ HUD construction financing to build 10 apartments to house formerly homeless individuals seeking recovery from behavioral health disorders
