River Edge respects the confidentiality of information provided to us by the consumers we serve. A recent television broadcast made us aware that certain documents, which were boxed and ready to be picked up for shredding, were impermissibly accessed and the contents, which included what appeared to be some confidential information, were viewed by a reporter. The documents were then shredded, as intended.
To our knowledge, the confidential information was not seen by anyone other than the reporter. We have asked the television station to return the raw footage and maintain the confidentiality of the information. We have also asked that, if any video of the documents is broadcast, to remove or obscure any identifying information.
If you are a consumer receiving services from River Edge, have received services in the past, or are the parents or guardians of a consumer receiving services from River Edge, and you have questions or concerns, please call our Privacy Officer, Patti Willingham, at (478) 751-4432.
